Services

Everything between the quote and the signature.

One flat fee covers all six services below — no add-ons, no upsells, no commission from any installer. Ever.

1. Solar quote negotiation

You send us your written quote — or quotes. We break each one into price per watt, equipment spec, and financing structure, benchmark it against the national average (about $3.36/W residential in Q2 2026, per SEIA / Wood Mackenzie), then negotiate directly with the installer for a lower price on the same equipment. Like-for-like only — we never quietly downgrade your panels to hit a number.

2. Installer vetting

Before you sign, we check: a current state contractor or electrical license; active general liability and workers’ compensation insurance; review history across public review sites; and how long the company has actually been installing solar. Roughly 100 U.S. solar companies have filed for bankruptcy since 2023 (Harvard Business School research, via AmeriVanta) — a 25-year warranty means nothing if the company doesn’t make it to year six. We are not a licensed contractor ourselves, and you should always verify the license independently too.

3. Financing review — honest tradeoffs

Four ways to pay for solar. Each has a real cost, and salespeople only tell you about one of them:

OptionWho owns itThe honest tradeoff
CashYouCheapest total cost, no interest, no fees. Requires the capital up front.
Solar loanYouYou own the system — but watch for hidden dealer fees. The CFPB reports these typically run 10–30% of the cash price and get baked into your loan principal. We find the fee and show you the true APR.
LeaseThe company$0 down and simple monthly payments — but the leasing company owns the system and claims any incentives, not you. Escalator clauses can raise your payment yearly.
PPAThe companyYou buy the power, not the system. Lowest commitment, lowest control — and the rate you’re quoted today may not be the rate you pay in year 10.

We don’t sell financing and we take no referral fees from lenders. We read your loan docs and tell you what they actually say.

4. Contract review

We read the agreement line by line before you sign and flag: production guarantees (and their exclusions), lease/PPA escalation clauses, roof penetration and roof-warranty language, the payment schedule, cancellation terms, and what happens to your warranty if the installer goes under. We flag what’s missing, not just what’s there.

5. Incentive guidance

Straight talk: the 30% federal residential credit (Section 25D) ended for systems placed in service after December 31, 2025 (source). What’s left — state rebates, utility programs, net metering rules, property tax exclusions — varies by ZIP and changes constantly. So here’s our rule: incentives change — we verify what’s active in your ZIP before you sign, starting from DSIRE. This is general information only — never tax advice. Talk to a tax professional.

6. Buying an EV? We’ll help you plug in.

Honest truth first: Tesla sells its cars at fixed, as-is pricing — there’s nothing to negotiate, and we’ll never pretend otherwise. But we can help you find a licensed electrician to install your home charger, and we can negotiate the solar + storage quote around it so the whole setup actually makes sense together. The car is fixed. The panels aren’t.

What we are not: installers, equipment sellers, lenders, or tax advisors. We take no commission from installers, lenders, or equipment makers — our only paycheck is your flat fee.
Where we can’t negotiate, we say so. Some providers sell at fixed, take-it-or-leave-it prices — Tesla Solar is one. Our sister company Sticker Auto Group runs into the same thing with fixed-price car sites like Carvana and CarMax. Where negotiation isn’t possible, we’ll tell you straight — and we’ll still help with what we can: installer vetting, financing review, and contract review.
